Michael Bernard Voth

Michael Bernard Voth, of Amarillo, Texas passed away and went to be with his wonderful wife Arvilla on Aug. 29, 2011, he was 72 years old. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on Aug. 1, 1939, but spent most of his childhood and early adulthood in Albuquerque, N.M. He graduated from Highland HS, attended college a short while before going to work at the Bureau of Reclamation. Mike worked at the Bureau all of his adult life whereby he was very successful and retired as Regional Director at the grand old age of 47.
He was a dedicated husband who had a true love affair with his wife and whose conviction to her was endless.
He was a father that cared deeply for his children, a grandfather who was the perfect “papa.” Mike
Was a fierce friend who had a loyalty to a special group of people and they to him. Neither time nor distance between this group of friends ever severed the bonds that they shared. No request was too great or too small nor was it ever unanswered between Mike and his family and friends. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who built the family cabin in Red River, N.M., with the help of his friends. He took great joy in hunting, hiking and just being outside. Mike loved working on his ranch preparing for whatever season happen to be upcoming. We will all miss his unbelievable humor, thoughtful advice, undaunted love and loyal friendship. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Voth, mother, Cleo Voth, and his beloved wife, Arvilla Voth.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Curtis White, son and daughter-in-law,
Chris and Jennifer Voth, sister and brother-in-law Helene and Russ Haushalter, grandchildren Stephanie Bailey, Tricia Schwering, Blake Mooney, Chance Voth, and Chandler Voth and three great-grandchildren.
